In short: More capacity for the money, in a shape that suits a shallow worktop. Slower to preheat than the basket models.

Key features

Oven-style cavity

A wide, shallow cavity with two rack positions, which is what lets it take a whole chicken or a full tray of vegetables in one go.

Viewing door

The interior light and glass door let you judge browning without opening the door and losing heat.

Specifications

Capacity9 qt
Power1500 W
Temperature range65-200 C
Footprint42 x 33 cm
Weight7.4 kg

Best suited for

Anyone cooking for four or more, or who needs the unit to sit under standard-height wall cabinets.

Limitations or considerations

Preheating is genuinely slower, and the back of the cavity runs hotter than the front. Rotating the tray halfway solves it, but you have to remember to.

Detailed analysis

The Vista Oven wins on shape and capacity rather than on cooking. For the same money it takes nearly twice the volume of a mid-size basket model, and the shallow footprint is the reason a lot of owners chose it over a better-rated basket unit.

The trade-off shows up in the mention data. Its negative share is meaningfully higher than the Pro 6, and almost all of it is preheat time and uneven browning front-to-back. Neither is a fault so much as a characteristic of the cavity design, and owners who know about it in advance rarely list it as a regret.
